Following a number of false starts I am pleased to announce today the release of WinDAN, a Windows Desktop Alerter for NATS.
WinDAN runs as a Windows binary and periodically polls a FreeNATS installation using the XML API. When alerts are detected it can popup, play a sound and change its systray icon to red.
It's a simple tool designed just to provide a little more visibility of the monitoring for Windows desktop users.
Please note that this is alpha software, my first Windows app for quite a few years and my first attempt at using .net CLR.

Note 1: Currently there is no functionality to check for new WinDAN versions, rather updates will be posted to this news feed.
Note 2: You need the .net framework and probably the Visual Studio 2008 Redist runtime installed (link to redist on the project page).
