Slide the latch outwards in order to unlock the cover panel. If your model of computer has no cove r release latch, look for any screws securing the cover panel to the case; remove the screws and set them aside. If you are installing a SATA drive, you may leave the drive's jumper sett .

If the case has a release latch, push down on th PurplePixie e cover until the latch snaps in place; otherwise, use screws to secure the cover to the case. Return the computer to its previous .

Make sure al l of the cables are secure, then put the case back on the computer. 5 Connect the power cords, the monitor, and any necessary peri proposal template pherals. Power on the computer. Format and configure the drive as per detailed in the drive's manual. This process will vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. 6 Boot to the main drive the drive with the OS on it. Download and install Norton Ghost, a disk cl PurplePixie oning software. Follow the on-screen instructions to properly install the program to your computer. 7 Run Norton Ghost. Click Gho .
