13/09/2008: Latest Updates

The latest v1 development version (1.01.0a) now includes a simple UDP connection test. This test (and now the TCP test also) return time in seconds or a negative value upon failure.

This version also implements the ability to link alert actions to a schedule and so control who gets alerted at different times. This is exactly the same as the node scheduling functionality and the same schedules can even be used for tests and alerting.

A bug with blank alerts in scheduling has been identified and resolved (thanks to Paul). This is available for v0 users in 0.04.31b. Another bug with the minutes in schedules has also been identified and fixed in both the latest versions.

Everyone is strongly encouraged to jump on the v1 bandwagon to get any upgrade issues out of the way as soon as possible. As you can see from this forum post I'm getting an itchy keyboard finger. Once v1 becomes the current recommended release all users will get a nice upgrade message when they check so you may want to get your migration issues in before the ceiling falls in (not that it will of course).
