13/08/2008: World Domination

The misguided attempt by PurplePixie Systems to become the worlds biggest and most profitable software and information technology company by giving away buggy mediocre software to all and sundry under the GPL licence has taken another giant leap forward.

You may recall brave Aday was the first to plug FreeNATS in his network monitoring blog post. Since then some more kind souls have also posted reviews of the system.

Ron Barrett of RARE-TECH very kindly dropped me a line to mention his slideshow and article on 12 cross platform network tools.

PC Quest has also done an article on the system and seems to have bundled it on their August 2008 DVD though I have no idea what vintage or format.
