3.2.2 Status and Trial Runs

In the "Global Options" for a set you can change the status to Live/Available, In Development or Completed. When marked In Development or Completed respondents linking to your survey (see 3.2.3) will be unable to complete a live questionnaire. When the set is marked as another other than In Development a warning will be displayed in the set manager about data integrity (see 3.2.4) though you will still be able to edit it.

In any state you will be able to perform "dummy runs" on the questionnaire. These are respondent sessions that are marked as "dummy". You can use this through the "Preview Question Set" link in the set manager or publish the URL for feedback before going live (see 3.2.3). You will be able to filter out these dummy runs when analysing your data (or not for development purposes). The dummy run facility allows you to experience the question set as respondents will find it.

When you are ready to "go live" with your questionnaire you can change the status to "Live/Available" and publish the link (see 3.2.3).
